marine mammals - our favourite relatives

Marine mammals include whales, seals, sea lions, elephant seals, dolphins, porpoises, manatees, dugongs, manatees, seals, sea otters, and leopard seals. All marine mammals are mammals that nurse their young with their mother's milk. Marine mammals do not have gills and must surface regularly to breathe.

Recurring Clean Up actions will take place with us starting in 2023. Each month we raffle one marine biology course among our guests.

We cooperate with organizations for the protection of the oceans. From each marine biology course sold, we donate 10 euros to such an organization.

preparation
You can work through all SSI courses at home at your leisure, in a very well designed app or online. Your time and pace. Truly stress-free learning. Once you have registered with us for the course, we will give you all the links so you can register with SSI. Once you have entered all the necessary information, we can activate the course for you and you can start learning. This takes a lot of the time pressure off and helps you get involved with the course. You can also complete the exam online.

Two species of sea turtles still lay eggs on the coast of Cyprus. One of them: the Green Turtle (Chelonia mydas). This turtle lays its eggs only here on the west coast of the Akámas Peninsula. You have the possibility to snorkel and even dive with them.

The encounter with manta rays belongs for divers but also for snorkelers certainly to the experiences that they will never forget. Incredibly elegant, effortlessly they fly through the water and eat plankton and small animals.
